텍스트 마이닝을 활용한 국내 다문화 상담 연구 동향 분석* Analysis of Trends in Multicultural Counseling Research Using Text Mining 이승록†⋅조수현††⋅박정환†††⋅조정원†††† Seungrok Lee†⋅Suhyun Cho††⋅Junghwan Park†††⋅Jungwon Cho†††† 요 약 본 연구의 목적은 대한민국의 다문화 상담 연구 동향을 심층적으로 분석하여 다문화 사회로의 전환에 따른 상담의 중요성과 발전 방향을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2004년부터 2024년까지 한국연구재단 등재 학술지에 게재된 다문화 상담 관련 논문 461편을 대상으로 텍스트 마이닝 기법인 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링 분석을 통해 연구의 특성과 변화를 입체적이고 정량적으로 분석하였다. 연구 방법으로는 텍스트 마이닝을 활용하여 각 논문의 초록을 분석하였으며, 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링을 통해 연구 주제 간의 관계와 주요 키워드 변화를 시각적으로 표현하였다. 또한 키워드 빈도 분석과 토픽모델링을 통해 연구 경향을 파악하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2004년부터 2024년까지 다문화 상담 연구는 초기 개념 정립 단계에서 다양한 분야로 확장되었다. 둘째, 다문화 상담 연구에서 가장 빈번하게 등장한 키워드는 다문화와 연구로 나타났으며, 이는 상담의 필요성을 반영한다. 셋째, 다문화 상담 연구는 교육과 가족, 상담, 결과, 사회 등의 키워드를 중심으로 이루어졌으며, 다양한 상담 기법과 접근법의 필요성을 시사한다. 마지막으로, 데이터와 통계적 분석을 활용한 계량적 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있으며, 이는 향후 연구 및 정책 결정에 중요한 정보를 제공한다. 이상을 종합하여 향후 다문화 연구의 시사점을 제시하였다. 주제어: 다문화 상담, 텍스트마이닝, 토픽 모델링, 연구 동향, 연대순 분석 ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze the trends in multicultural counseling research in South Korea and to explore the importance and development direction of counseling in the context of the transition to a multicultural society. For this purpose, the study conducted a thorough and quantitative analysis using text mining techniques, including network analysis and topic modeling, on 461 papers related to multicultural counseling published in Korean Citation Index (KCI)-listed journals from 2004 to 2024. The research methodology involved using text mining to analyze the abstracts of each paper, visualizing the relationships and keyword changes among research topics through network analysis and topic modeling. Additionally, keyword frequency analysis and topic modeling were employed to identify research trends. The findings of the study are as follows. Initially, multicultural counseling research from 2004 to 2024 expanded from the initial stage of concept establishment to various fields. Furthermore, the most frequently mentioned keywords in multicultural counseling research were "multicultural" and "research," reflecting the necessity of counseling. Additionally, multicultural counseling research primarily focused on keywords such as education, family, counseling, outcomes, and society, indicating the need for diverse counseling techniques and approaches. Lastly, quantitative research using data and statistical analysis was actively conducted in multicultural counseling research, playing a crucial role in providing valuable information for future research and policy decisions. In summary, this study emphasizes the practical importance of multicultural counseling and provides insights for future research directions.
