유아 미디어 리터러시 연구 동향 분석 An Analysis of Research Trends in Early Childhood Media Literacy 임진형† Jinhyung Lim† 요 약 본 연구의 목적은 유아기의 미디어 리터러시에 대한 연구 동향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 통해 미디어를 활용하는 인생의 시작점인 유아기의 미디어 리터러시에 대한 학문적 경향과 성과를 공유할 수 있다. 유아 미디어 리터러시 연구 동향 분석 대상 논문은 유아 미디어 리터러시 관련 논문 발행 시점인 2003년부터 2024년까지 KCI(한국연구재단)에 등재된 국내 학술지 논문 87편이었다. 연구 문제에 따라 연구 시기, 연구 주제, 연구 유형, 연구 대상별로 빈도와 백분율을 산출하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아 미디어 리터러시 연구시기별 동향을 분석한 결과, 2018년 이후부터 증가세를 보이고 있음을 알 수 있다. 학술지 분야는 유아교육학이 가장 많았고, 교육학, 기타, 아동학·발달심리학, 가족학의 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아 미디어 리터러시 주제별 연구 동향을 분석한 결과, 실천 연구, 기초 연구의 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아 미디어 리터러시 연구유형별 동향을 분석한 결과, 양적연구, 문헌연구, 질적연구, 혼합연구의 순으로 나타났다. 넷째, 유아 미디어 리터러시 연구대상별 동향을 분석한 결과, 유아교사, 혼합, 예비교사, 문헌, 유아, 부모의 순으로 나타나 유아교사를 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많이 이루어졌음을 알 수 있다. 본 연구는 유아 미디어 리터러시에 대한 학문적 방향성 탐색과 후속 연구의 범위를 넓히는 계기를 제공하는 의의가 있다. 주제어: 유아 미디어 리터러시, 유아 디지털 리터러시, 유아교육, 연구 동향, 국내 학술지 ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine research trends on media literacy in early childhood. Through this, academic trends and achievements in media literacy in early childhood, the starting point of life using media, can be shared. The subject to analysis of trends in early childhood media literacy research were 87 domestic academic journal papers registered in the KCI(Korea Research Foundation) from 2003 to 2024, when the papers on early childhood media literacy were published. The frequency and percentage were calculated and analyzed for each research period, research topic, research type, and research subject according to the research problem. The research results are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the trends by the research period of early childhood media literacy, it can be seen that it has been on the rise since 2018. Early childhood education was the most common academic journal field, followed by educational studies, others, child studies and human development and family studies. Second, as a result of analyzing the research trends by subject of early childhood media literacy, practical research, and basic research appeared in order. Third, as a result of analyzing the trends by research type of early childhood media literacy, quantitative research, literature research, qualitative research, and mixed research appeared in order. It can be seen that quantitative research was mainly conducted. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the trends of each research subject of early childhood media literacy, early childhood teachers, mixing, pre-service teachers, literature, child, and parents appeared in the order, indicating that the most research was conducted on early childhood teachers. This study is significant in that it provided an opportunity to broaden the scope of research and academic interest in early childhood media literacy.
